This game is played often at baby and bridal showers. Here, we just give it a holiday twist.
As each family member arrives, give them an item like a bell or small ornament.
Tell them what the taboo word will be during the party. Choose a word that people are likely to say like “tree”, or “present” or “holiday”.
If anyone catches another person using these words, they get to take their item. The game will continue throughout the party until the end.
At the end, count up the items to see who has the most. The person with the most items is the winner. Remember to suspend the taboo word rule during the games as the taboo word is likely to be used a lot at that time.
